Marcus Burnett is a 31–year-old native of Trenton, New Jersey who has been diligently serving the Lord his entire life. Marcus, a faithful member of Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church of Trenton has been open and available to serve God in so many capacities since joining Grant Chapel as a young child. In his youth, he learned the importance of having a relationship with God and has kept his hand in the Lord’s hand. Marcus is a graduate of Burlington County Institute of Technology where he began his studies in Culinary Arts. He went on to further his education at The Art Institute of Philadelphia, and received his degree in Culinary Arts. The former Kitchen Manager/Chef at Delta’s Restaurant in New Brunswick, NJ, Marcus now serves as the Food Service Director for the Hopewell/Pennington School District.
Marcus also serves as the Young Adult Representative for the First Episcopal District Lay Organization. Most recently, Marcus was installed as the President of the New Jersey Council of Churches.
Filled with a servant’s spirit, Marcus can always be found serving God’s people in the kitchen, his home, his church and anywhere the Lord leads him.
In October of 2017 Marcus married his childhood sweetheart, Jessica Mims.
